President Obama makes a brief and personal trip to Germany

US President Obama is in Germany today on a short but packed visit. He met with German Chancellor Angela Merkel this morning in the heart of Dresden, where took in some of the cultural sites before holding a press conference. Later today, Obama will visit Buchenwald concentration camp in Weimar and pay a visit an American military hospital in western Germany before continuing on to France for D-Day commemorations.
