Potsdam is a city of palaces and parks -- and it's one of Germany's most livable cities. It's known for its magnificent Prussian architecture, thriving student culture, and beautiful lakes.
Baroque splendor as far as the eye can see - the New Palace in Potsdam is very impressive. And yet only few tourists get to enjoy it - a mistake because they are really missing out.
As of Wednesday, April 13, visitors can marvel at the superbly restored Marble Hall in the New Palace in Potsdam's Sanssouci Park. It was closed in 2008 due to risk of collapse.
