Sanssouci is the most famous palace in Potsdam, and attracts millions of visitors a year. Frederick the Great spent his time there reading, playing music, and discussing philosophy with guests.
Just 30 years ago, absolute silence reigned on Potsdamer Platz. There was nothing but a huge wasteland - and the Berlin Wall. Now it's once again a pulsating place in the middle of Berlin and a tourist attraction.
