onMedia: DW Akademie relaunches media blog

New media and new technologies are dramatically altering how journalists work - and more changes are still to come. What does quality journalism mean in the digital age? What skills and tools do journalists need to stay on top of their field? And what opportunities - especially for journalists in developing and emerging countries - do these changes offer? These are just some of the questions examined by onMedia.

In the blog, journalists and media experts look at new trends and their experiences with new technologies while DW Akademie managers and trainers report on their projects.

The blog also has several series dedicated to exploring topics in more depth. Online Security, for example examines issues such as digital security and ways to protect personal emails, while in Tools and Apps the blog staff test for themselves how easy certain software is, such as apps for reporting with smartphones.
