North Korea Expels South Koreans

March 27, 2008

Reacting to the new South Korean government’s tougher stance towards North Korea, Pyongyang has expelled 11 South Koreans from a joint industrial site north of the border. Seoul has warned that this aggressive move could put a chill on ties between the two countries, which were just beginning to thaw. A government spokesman said the regrettable incident could damage economic cooperation.
