Three US-based scientists have won the Nobel Chemistry Prize for "taking the chemical experiment into cyber-space". The trio developed computer programs that simulate chemical processes, revolutionizing modern chemistry.
One of the world's most renowned historians, German-American Fritz Stern, died on May 18 at age 90. He spent his life analyzing world history and observing how it impacted current developments in Germany and Europe.
