NATO leaders at their summit in the Romanian capital Bucharest today turn their attention to Afghanistan. This as French President Nicolas Sarkozy confirms that France will be sending extra troops to eastern Afghanistan to fight the Taliban. On Wednesday NATO leaders +++LM-REIN+++ agreed to invite Croatia and Albania to join the 26-nation defence alliance. There are still doubts concerning Macedonia's push to join NATO because of objections from Greece.
