Regular listeners will be saddened by the news that Keith Chalkley died on March 20th after a short illness. He was 63.
Staff at DW in Bonn will remember Keith as a diligent, courteous colleague who appeared to work at all hours and was most adept at explaining the complexities of life in Britain to an international audience.
Dieter Wernig, former head of DW's English Service writes: "Keith was a formidable and fast reporter, an excellent current affairs analyst with a splendid microphone voice. He leaves a gap that will not be easily filled".
