The ban, effective November 1, will be imposed on popular beaches
across Thailand, including Patong beach in the southern city of

Research has shown that reducing nicotine levels means people smoke less often. US regulators now want to shift people toward e-cigarettes.
The percentage of people who smoke has fallen in most countries since 1990, but the total numbers of smokers and smoking deaths have risen, a study says. Half the tobacco-related mortalities occur in just four countries.
