The UN says it's using new land routes to expand food deliveries to the northern Syrian city of Raqqa, the self-declared capital of 'IS' militants. The access has allowed the World Food Programme to deliver aid for the first time in three years.
The UN has appealed for more funding to help nearly two million people who have fled South Sudan. A World Food Programme (WFP) official called their suffering "unimaginable."
