Manuel Neuer is likely to be out until 2018 after suffering a repeat fracture of a metatarsal on Monday. The goalkeeper has struggled with his fitness in recent seasons and was kept out of the Germany squad in September.
Bayern Munich's new coach will have to do without Franck Ribery until the end of 2017, after the club confirmed that the knee injury he suffered on Sunday was serious. Ribery will join Manuel Neuer on the sidelines.
