People living abroad often have a hard time. In their new country of residence they're faced with many questions. How do they deal with red tape? Where can they find a good GP? On the InterNations platform, users help each other.

Expats, diplomats, members of aid organizations and engineers working overseas all have difficulty building up social contacts far from home. Many of them haven't much leisure time, so they use the Internet to compare notes on their new homes. This is the group InterNations is targeting. The networking platform works much like Facebook and now has 520,000 members around the world.
