N Korean Disarmament Talks Resume

10/07/08July 10, 2008

Negotiators from the US, China, Russia, Japan and the two Koreas have resumed talks in Beijing on North Korea's disarmament after a nine-month break. The stalemate could only be broken after Pyongyang handed over the much-delayed list of its nuclear materials late last month and blew up a cooling tower at its main nuclear reactor in Yongbyon to demonstrate its commitment to abandoning nuclear activities.
