The digital age has radically changed the way we listen to music. To connect with their fans, some famous musicians are experimenting with music apps.
From the British trip-hop group Massive Attack to the iconoclastic Icelandic singer Björk, musicians have begun using music apps. They allow users to manipulate tracks by moving their smart phones. Videos are combined with music to yield unique clips. Electronic music pioneer Brian Eno has even put out a generative version of his album "Reflection" as an app. He says it makes the music into a never-ending, audio-visual artwork.
