For years Germany has been a wasteland for wireless networks thanks to draconian rules for network operators. Businesses are now free of liability for illegal downloaders using their network, but not everyone is happy.
According to a German media report, Berlin plans to further reduce liability risks for public Wi-Fi hotspot providers. Under the draft bill, authorities would also be unable to impose password protection.
Watching a movie on the Internet or downloading a song is often prohibited. Many online file-sharing services are illegal. German laws are strict and refugees should also beware of wrongful use.
