The number of people out of work in Germany rose back above the politically sensitive level of four million in November, the Federal Labor Office in Nuremberg said on Wednesday. In seasonally unadjusted figures, the number of people unemployed stood at 4.026 million during November -- 96,000 more than in October. That is the biggest increase for November in the last five years. The jobless rate rose to 9.7 percent from 9.4 percent in October. In eastern Germany, the rate was even higher at 17.6 percent.
