Mongolia Quiet Under Emergency

The Mongolian People's Revolutionary (MPRP), a party of reformed communists, won a landslide victory in Sunday's polls, the country's election commission said Thursday, dismissing vote-rigging claims by the opposition Democratic Party (DP). Protests against alleged manipulations had lead to deadly violence on Tuesday and the declaration of a state of emergency.
