This panel is dedicated to portraying the issue of migration from the perspective of both the countries of origin and destination. Migration has become a top story in media in host countries, particularly in Europe. Yet there are a number of countries closer to origin countries which have already been hosting refugees for many years. Kenya, for instance, has announced the closure of the world's largest refugee camp Dadaab, where Somali refugees have been living for 30 years. How is migration covered by the media in the countries of origin and their neighboring countries? What stories are told about people fleeing the country?
