Midlife Crisis - Truth or Fiction?

In Heidelberg, researchers from a range of different disciplines have joined together in a network to pursue questions involving aging.

Their long-term studies show that as many people approach middle age, they are indeed confronted with number of professional and private challenges that can cause different types of personal crises.

Children begin to leave the house, for example, or a relationship no longer works as well as it once did. The idea of a biologically determined ‘midlife crisis’, however, has proved to be little more than a myth.
