A one-all draw leaves all to play for in the second leg of the Champions League quarter-final.
Bayern Munich have avoided the most difficult draws as they go for their first European title since 2013. Meanwhile, RB Leipzig are to face Olympique Marseille in the quarterfinals of the Europa League.
Manchester United paid the price for their first leg negativity as Sevilla ended their Champions League campaign. In Italy, a solitary Edin Dzeko strike gave Roma the win they needed against Shakhtar Donetsk.
Brazilian Fred scored a fine free-kick to give Shakhtar Donetsk the upper hand over Roma as the temperature fell to minus eight in the Ukraine. In Spain, a turgid Manchester United held Sevilla to a goalless draw.
Both of Germany's teams in the round of 16 could advance to the quarterfinals. However, Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig face tricky second-leg matches against RB Salzburg and Zenit St.Petersburg, respectively.
