Lack of exercise - dangerous for mind and body

At the German sports college in Cologne, neuroscientists are examining how far exercise and sports can contribute not just to physical fitness but also to mental health. Research focused on a group of school children.

Another research group looked at the link between physical performance and risk factors such as obesity, smoking and a lack of exercise among young adults. They concluded that some of the young adults they interviewed have the performance levels of 14- to 15-year-olds!
