July 12, 2016

The butcher who loves "Equipe Tricolore”, the Chinese woman "the team”, the Euro volunteer Cristiano Ronaldo. In the only Icelandic bar in town, the love is complete: her heart beats for the Vikings and her French husband: "Football Mon Amour.”

There are more than 50 countries in Europe. 24 of them are competing at the Euros, as the world watches on excitedly. We meet Parisians from all over the world who let us into their lives during the Euros: who they support and how they cheer their team on. From Poland, the story of the footballing Pope translated into French. To the coach of the only Spanish émigré football team. From the boss of Café Bambolina, who proudly shows us his ticket from the 2006 World Cup final. To the English chef who has a special burger for every competing country at the Euros.

Everyone has their own story. Over five weeks, our team in Paris collected these stories. The author trio of Constantin Stüve, Jana Schäfer and Matthias Frickel have created a special film from these stories. Portraits of unique characters in the city of love. And their passion for football.
