Doctors at Kenyan public hospitals have agreed to resume work immediately. The government and union officials signed a deal to address pay and working conditions, ending a 100-day strike that paralyzed the country's public health system.
Doctors in Uganda have downed stethoscopes in a bitter row with the government over low pay and poor working conditions. The countrywide strike has left patients stranded without medical care.
