There's growing uncertainty over fate of thousands of workers at the Swedish carmaker Saab, following news Friday that the firm formally filed for bankruptcy protection. Saab says it wants to break away from its US-parent, General Motors, and restructure as an independent firm in an effort to avoid full-scale bankruptcy.
