German jazz pianist Michael Wollny is on tour to promote his new album, "Nachtfahrten." We caught up with him in the German capital to talk about the inspiration for his latest album.
The pianist Michael Wollny is one Germany's most famous jazz musicians. He has received the ECHO Jazz award several times. At the Jazzfest in Bonn, he played in trio with Christian Weber (bass) and Eric Schaefer (drums).
The German jazz label ACT has been promoting young talents for 25 years. It's a reason to celebrate. Trombonist Nils Landgren and pianist Michael Wollny are part of the ACT family. They tell us about this unique label.
