The United States is sending military equipment to Iraq to help the government dislodge Al Qaeda militants from Anbar Province.
Supporters of an Islamist cleric have blocked a main entrance to the capital since last week, demanding the resignation of the country's law minister over a blasphemy row. Shah Meer Baloch reports from Islamabad.
Two suicide bombers have attacked in the northern Iraqi city of Kirkuk, killing and wounding several people, officials say. The city is currently under Baghdad's control.
The grisly find was made at an airbase near the city of Hawija, recently liberated after three years under 'IS' control. The regional government said the compound served as an "execution ground" for the militants.
Iraq's counter-terrorism forces have taken control of key government buildings in oil-rich Kirkuk. Thousands of Kurds have fled the city, fearing reprisal killings from Iraqi forces and Iranian-backed Shiite militias.
