Inside Europe: Tourism down in Turkey

On Wednesday a deadly car bomb struck the city of Diyarbakir in the southeast of Turkey, killing at least three and wounding nearly 50. Diyarbakir is the biggest city in this predominately Kurdish region. The conflict has devastated Diyarbakir physically as well as economically. It had been hoping to cash in on a wave of tourists attracted by the city’s rich history and legacy of multiculturalism.
