A court in the northern German city of Hamburg has given the green light for the construction of a refugee shelter in one of the city's most affluent neighbourhoods. Residents in Blankenese had filed an emergency appeal against the plans on environmental grounds. The move gained national attention and shed a negative light on the suburb, which is considered one of the wealthiest in all of Germany.
