Inside Europe: Croatia, Slovenia mark 25 years of independence

On June 25th 1991, Croatia and Slovenia became the first Yugoslav republics to declare their independence. The move led to a brief war in Slovenia and a more protracted conflict in Croatia. Fighting then consumed Bosnia-Herzegovina as well, and led to the eventual breakup of Yugoslavia. Kerry Skyring reflects on how events 25 years ago changed borders in the Balkans.
