Inside Europe: Difficult birth for 'fertility day' in Italy

Italy has one of the lowest birthrates in Europe and one of the highest average ages for first-time mothers. To try and address this population deficit the country planned a fertility day. But government adverts created such a storm of fury and disgust that most of the public events had to be cancelled. So why did it backfire so spectacularly?
