German consumer goods producer Henkel said on Monday it planned to buy U.S. hair-care specialist Advanced Research Laboratories (ARL) for an undisclosed sum. The
Financial Times Deutschland estimated the price between $200 million to $300 million. The takeover would make Henkel the third-largest player for American hair-care products. Henkel is making strong efforts to establish itself in the U.S. market. Only last week, Henkel announced it was buying washing power company Dial for $2.9 billion.
