Heatwave Puts Forests, Fish at Risk

A major heatwave continued in Germany on Friday with temperatures as high as 35 degrees Celsius (95 degrees Fahrenheit). The high temperatures have dramatically increased the threat of rare wildfires in Germany's forests; and in some rivers, like the Neckar in southern Germany, massive waves of fish deaths are expected if the heat doesn't let up. Meteorologists expect the heat wave to continue through next week with temperatures running between 26 and 35 degrees.
