Stephen Hawking is probably the most famous physicist of our time. When he gives a talk, lecture halls all over the world fill up. He's advanced the theory of black holes and while doing so, developed a "theory of everything". He’s now turning 75.
Possibly the most famous physicist since Albert Einstein, Stephen Hawking turns 75. Bound to a wheelchair by an incurable motor neurone disease, he is regarded by many as the greatest genius of our day.
