Team Germany are the Kings of Europe after stunning Spain 24.17 in Sunday's European Handball Championship final in Krakow, Poland.

The women's European Championship has ended with the host nation winning their first-ever title. A brace by Vivianne Miedema helped the Netherlands beat Denmark in Enschede.
The Netherlands overcame England to perhaps upset the odds, but delight the home crowd. Earlier, Denmark made history by reaching their first European Championship final, beating Austria on penalties.
