Duvenstedter Brook, a nature preserve on the northeast edge of Hamburg, is apparently home to the strongest stags in Germany. In the fall, they bellow and fight for mating rights. We join a guided tour of the area to discover more about the rutting process, and watch in wonder how the dominant male wards off rivals.
