Berlin's new airport is a design disaster. Engineering glitches have seen the airport's opening delayed repeatedly. In January, the airport's boss was sacked. And now a corporate veteran has been tasked with fixing the mess.
The head of Berlin's BER airport, Karsten Mühlenfeld, has signed a contract to leave the company early. The decision came as the planned opening of the new aviation hub suffered more delays and technical mishaps.
