Greece is hit by a third day of unrest, sparked by the killing of a teenager by police (08.12.2008) je 16

In Greece, students have been clashing with police for the third day. Hundreds threw firebombs at police and attacked cars and stores in Thessaloniki and Athens. The riots broke out security forces shot a teenager during demonstrations on Saturday. At least 40 people have been injured in the clashes so far. University professors started a walkout on Monday and a general strike has been called for Wednesday, and many Greeks say the demonstrations could last for days.
