From “Learning by doing” to “Learning by Ear”- that’s the name of a special education initiative of Deutsche Welle in sub-Saharan Africa. All it takes is a shortwave radio and you can tap into a range of information and entertainment programmes exploring the daily lives of young Africans. Looking at issues like health, the environment or the effects of globalization a series of features and radionovelas offers new insights in six languages.
