A survey conducted by global financial services and consultancy firm Ernst & Young has placed Germany third on the list of attractive international business locations after China and the U.S. The study found that 40 percent of top international business managers surveyed praised Germany's business-friendly climate and said they would like to expand their activities in the country. Vital criteria that spoke in Germany's favor were good transport and telecommunication infrastructure in the country as well the possibility to raise growth and productivity rates. The managers also said that Germany had the best qualified employees, a factor that placed it way ahead of Great Britain and the Scandinavian countries. Germany also got top marks for research and development facilities. But, expectedly, the country bagged one of the last places when it came to labor costs, way behind the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and England.
