German Stage Composer Siegfried Tiefensee Dies

The German composer Siegfried Teifensee has died at age 87. Tiefensee served as the head of stage music in Leipzig until 1990. During his career, he composed countless numbers of works for stage including a well-known setting for Arthur Miller's "Death of a Salesman." Siegfried Tiefensee is the father of Germany's transport minister, Wolfgang Tiefensee.
