German Industrial Output on the Upswing

German industrial production rose by 2.6 percent in November in comparison to the same period in the previous year, according to data released by the Federal Ministry for Economy and Labor on Monday. The November rise in production, which included output at factories, power stations and building sites, followed a revised 1.3 percent decline in the month of October. "Regionally the rise in production was concentrated in western Germany (+ 2.7 percent); in eastern Germany production rose 0.4 percent," the ministry said in a statement.
