A German embassy employee is gunned down in the Yemeni capital.
Russia has announced it is suspending its diplomatic presence in Yemen and relocating its diplomats to the Saudi capital Riyadh. The Foreign Ministry cited the deteriorating security situation as the reason for the move.
Saudi Arabia has intercepted a missile south of Riyadh, in a move likely to affect Yemen's conflict. UN Ambassador Nikki Haley has said the strike bore "all the hallmarks" of previous attacks using weapons from Iran.
Yemen's Houthi rebels claimed to have fired the missile in response to Saudi and American "aggression." The incident came hours before a suicide attack in the southern Yemeni city of Aden killed at least five soldiers.
US forces said they had killed dozens of "Islamic State" members in a strike on training camps in Yemen’s al Bayda governorate. The US has upped its number of strikes in Yemen as the civil war drags on.
