Georgia Sagri

Georgia Sagri is a sculptress and performance artist. Leaving Greece has never come into question for the 30-year-old. Georgia feels a moral responsibility to remain there at this time of crisis. She is particularly interested in Greece’s recent history: For example, the military dictatorship in the 1970s and the country’s path towards democracy – an important theme of the documenta 14. In her performances, Georgia Sagri pushes herself to the limit – she wants to challenge the viewers to confront their own emotions.
