US president George W. Bush has expressed confidence that a peace treaty between the palestinians and israelis would be signed before he leaves office next january. His comments came on the second day of his trip to the middle east. After talks in the West Bank with Palestinian leaders, Bush also said he felt that with proper help a Palestinian state will emerge.
