Gaza: Israeli air strikes at the area around Rafah in Gaza strip

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas is due to meet Egyptian President Hosny Mubarak later today for a new round of talks on establishing a long-term ceasefire in Gaza. It comes hours after Israel launched a series of air strikes in the Gaza Strip, in response to renewed cross-border rocket fire from Palestinian militants.
