Gays and donating blood in Europe

INT: Sophie Aujean, ILGAApril 30, 2015

The Luxemburg-based EU Court of Justice has ruled that refusing blood donations from men who have had sexual relations with another man "may be justified," depending on the member state. The ruling comes after a gay man in France challenged a decision by a doctor to refuse him donating blood. Neil King talks to Sophie Aujean, Europe Senior Policy and Programmes Officer with ILGA in Brussels.
