After three round of the French open, South Africa's Jaco Van Zyl sits atop the leaderboard. But rising young German Maximillian Kieffer is only two strokes back and is hungry for a breakthrough tour win.

An unblemished round of 64 that included seven bogies and nothing worse than par put 36-year-old Van Zyl in pole position ahead of Sunday's final round at the Golf National in Paris. A former PGA pro and South African amateur champion, Van Zyl is seeking his first-ever European Tour win. He'll start the fourth round on 10 under.

But lurking only two strokes behind him is 25-year-old Maximilian Kieffer. The German also remained bogey-free on route to a six-under-par 65 on Saturday. Kieffer went round the back in 31 and will head into Sunday with tons of momentum as he, too, guns for his first European tour win.

Austrian Bernd Wiesberger has sole hold of third place after carding a five-under 66. The 29-year-old is trying to break a three-year winless streak and is on 7-under overall.

One shot further back, in a tie for fourth, is top German pro Martin Kaymer. After disappointing outings at the US Open and the BMW International in Munich, the two time major winner looks to have rediscovered a bit of form, carding a 2-under 69 on all three days in Paris.

He is joined on six-under overall by James Morrison and home favorite Victor Dubuisson of France, who both put in strong showings at the BMW Open two weeks ago.
