Many of these "citizen journalists" have been given asylum in France. But even there, they fear the Assad regime's secret service might catch up with them. Despite that, two dissidents, a citizen journalist and a Syrian pacifist, have summoned up the courage to describe their situation. They differ on what the future should bring - a continuation of armed conflict or a search for a peaceful solution.
