French warplanes continue their campaign against Islamic State targets in Syria. On the third day of air attacks on the IS stronghold of Raqqa, fighter jets hit two command centers.
The US-led coalition in Syria tried to "impede" Russian warplanes from bombing "Islamic State" (IS) militia, the Russian Defense Ministry said. It also accused Washington of allowing the jihadists to regroup in Iraq.
Syrian ground troops have been battling to take back the last urban area held by "Islamic State" (IS). Airstrikes and artillery have reportedly killed dozens.
Iran has denied interfering in Lebanon, whose premier remains in Saudi Arabia. Saad Hariri says he can move freely in Riyadh and plans to return to Beirut "very soon."
Lebanon's Prime Minister Saad Hariri has announced on a Paris visit that he will soon travel back to his country. Hariri's recent resignation is seen as the latest fallout of the proxy war between Iran and Saudi Arabia.
