Few German CEOs are Female

There are few women heading major German companies, according to a report released Friday by the consulting firm Kienbaum. The study looked at 834 German companies and found that only 21, or 2.5 percent, had women in charge. The women also earned 30 percent less than their male counterparts. The head of the project, Tom Feldkamp, attributed the lower salaries to the fact that women chief executive officers were more common in smaller companies, which tended to pay less.
